I don't know if I'm missing something or it was just a really dumb plan.Īnother scene in the HISHE video could have been Finn and Rose on the FO ship surrounded by a thousand stormtroopers before Holdo rammed the Resistance ship through it. Plus they'd probably detect the movement on their scanners. The Resistance thought they could sneak away on the small transports since only the big cruiser was being tracked, yet the First Order fleet was close enough that the transports were visible by just looking out the command deck. Do they think we can't see them or something?" "It appears they've boarded small transports and are heading to that nearby planet." I know there was a joke at the end with Ackbar telling everyone there's a secret evacuation plan, but I was half expecting a scene of the Resistance transports leaving the main ship then cutting to the deck of the First Order ship. The video does a good job at highlighting valid nitpicks and also poking fun at fan theories and expectations. I had no preconceived notion of Snoke's identity, was pleased that my assumptions about Rey's origins were wrong, and pretty much expected Luke to be an adviser character, not a fighter.

It's why I went into the movie cold, avoiding talk and media about it as much as possible. I think people have theories (like Snoke being Plagueis) and get attached to them and it detracts from the experience. I have my issues with TLJ but those are none of them. Luke kicked ass in his own way, and it was better than a straight Force battle. Snoke being a character from the EU that the general audience doesn't know would be a mistake. The film, and people's love of the film, is not intended as affront to you personally. I think it's a shame that the people who hate it don't get out of it what I get out of it, because it was an awesome experience and an exciting turn in the overall direction of the story. I'm not happy that half the fans (it it's that many) hate it.
